Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-20

1. Service

RatRaceScore (“the Service”) is a personal-finance tracking application that computes a derived metric (the “RatRace Score”) from data you supply. The Service is provided “as-is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

2. Not financial advice

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. We strongly recommend enabling MFA.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to attempt to disrupt the Service, exfiltrate other users' data, reverse-engineer security controls, or upload unlawful content.

5. Termination

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from your Profile page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators of the Service shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

7. Changes

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.

8. Fees

The Service is currently free to use. We may introduce optional paid features in the future (for example, bank sync or premium reporting); any such features will be clearly marked as paid before you are charged, and existing free features will not be paywalled retroactively without notice.

9. Third-party sign-in

If you choose to sign in with Google or Facebook, that provider's own terms of service and privacy policy also apply to your use of their sign-in feature. We only receive the profile information those providers make available to us, typically your name, email address, and profile photo.

10. Intellectual property

The Service's software, design, and branding belong to RatRaceScore and may not be copied, reverse-engineered, or reused without permission. You retain all rights to the financial data you enter.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Illinois.
